The New School of Lancaster

Participating in Annual Giving here at The New School of Lancaster - whether it be by writing a check for the Annual Appeal, buying tickets to an event, purchasing a Classroom Creation made by a group of students, or bidding on a live or silent auction item at Maria’s Table - is an important way to make an intelligent investment in something larger than ourselves: our children, our families, our school, our city, our society.

Our Annual Giving Goal for the school year is $100,000.00. We achieve this goal through our Annual Appeal, the Garden Gala, Maria’s Table and other secondary fundraisers such as the Giant A+ Rewards Program.

2011-2012 Annual Appeal

Full participation in our Annual Appeal, from all of the members of The New School of Lancaster community, is critical toward keeping our tuition affordable and, adjusting the disparity between tuition and the actual cost of providing the best possible Montessori education for our children. Each year we ask our alumni, Board of Trustees, friends, grandparents, parents and staff to make a donation to support our shared mission and vision.

The New School of Lancaster is fully accredited by The American Montessori Society! We are also twenty one! As an “adult” school we are mature enough to realize that we couldn’t have gotten to where we are without the help of our generous community. We want to express our gratitude to all of you for the history that you have been a part of building and the support that you have provided. We also look forward to working with you as we build a future of continued success in facilitating the “unfolding of each child’s unique potential”.

The New School of Lancaster is a non-profit, Section 501 (c) (3) Montessori school serving children ages 20 months through eighth grade. Since 1990, we have guided students to make a life-long commitment to learning, gain self-esteem through respect and independence, and make thoughtful responsible choices. Our children are the beneficiaries of rigorous and challenging academics, carefully guided by observant and caring teachers.

Maria’s Table

Maria’s Table is currently our largest fundraising event.  Typically held off-site in the spring of the year, this fun-filled evening includes a live auction, live music, delicious food and a chance for all members of The New School community, both past and present, to gather ‘round the table in friendship. This event can include a live auction or a wide variety of silent auction items, classroom creations, participation parties, and personalized items.  This year Maria’s Table will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2012. If you wish to sponsor, underwrite, or donate to the auction, please contact the Development Director.

Giant A+ Rewards Program

Shop Giant and earn Giant A + School Rewards points for The New School of Lancaster, from October 9th, 2011 – March 31st, 2012. Encourage friends and family to do the same!

Each month, our school will automatically receive 1% of all participating customers’ total Bonus Card purchases based on combined points earned. It’s as easy as registering (a participant must register every year) your current Giant Bonus Card number, your last name and the code for The New School of Lancaster: 02181 (Families may enter up to two school codes)
