Latest Updates:

Starting after our Spring Break, on Monday, March 23, 2020, The New School of Lancaster began a model of learning at home for the foreseeable future. We are joining schools across the country making this decision to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus and, ultimately, to save lives. We will continue using the virtual learning model until it is again prudent to return children and adolescents to campus.

As we move through this time of uncertainty together, it is important that you all, our community, know our ultimate priorities

To protect our families and staff

to keep us all safe and take the very best care of every member of our community that we can.

To protect our school

To be able to keep our doors open once the global pandemic has passed so that we all can return to the school and community we love.

To protect the physical and emotional health and well-being of every one of us

Creating structures for connection and continued learning to support us all in keeping our minds sharp, our bodies healthy, and our connections with one another strong.

We remain confident that we will overcome these challenges as we always have – together – with our students and our mission at the forefront of our minds. We will continue finding creative and pedagogically sound ways to give our students both the academic program and sense of community that they deserve. We will continue to engage as a community of learners guided by the Montessori principles that have grounded our education since our school’s founding.
