Regular attendance is important for the continuity of the child’s development, but parents should keep their children home for a rash, or discharge from eyes, ears or nose, or any other signs of illness. A child who has vomited, diarrhea or runs a fever in the last 24 hours should not come to school. Students may return to school 24 hours after fever has resolved without fever-reducing medication.
Please notify the school by emailing email@example.com when your child will be absent for any reason. To protect all children attending school, anyone with visible symptoms of what appears to be a contagious condition will be sent home. In the case of a chronic ailment, it is necessary to obtain a doctor’s statement establishing the non-contagious nature of the ailment. Any other important information regarding the child’s health – special need, allergies, etc. — should also be submitted in writing to the office.
