Summer Camps at New School Montessori
New School Montessori offers a 10-week Summer Camp program for Infant, Toddler, Primary, and Elementary students, held exclusively at our Columbia Avenue location.
Summer Camp Registration
- Current New School Montessori families receive priority enrollment.
- If space remains after current families register, enrollment will open to non-NSM students in April.
- Summer Camp registration typically opens in March for current families.
- Families are asked to enroll for a minimum of two weeks.
- There is a minimum of eight weeks for infants.
- We strongly recommend enrolling in consecutive weeks to support continuity and routine for children.
- We do not offer half day or partial week Summer Programming.
Program Placement
Summer Camp is a time of transition for children who will be promoted to the next program level in the fall. For example, children entering Primary in the upcoming school year will typically participate in Primary Summer Camp.
General Schedule
While Summer Camp dates for 2026 have not yet been officially approved, our schedule remains very consistent from year to year. Families can expect the following:
Last day of the school year: First Wednesday in June
Summer Camp begins: The following Monday
NSM is closed: Juneteenth & Week of July 4
No Camp final week of August: Teacher Inservice & classroom preparation
First day of the school year: Wednesday after Labor Day

Week 5: July 13–17
Week 6: July 20–24
Week 7: July 27–31
Week 8: August 3–7
