NSFA Warehouse Beer Garden Meet-Up

The NSFA (New School Family Association) is hosting the first meet-up of the year this Friday, October 24, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Warehouse District Beer Garden!

This is a casual gathering and a wonderful opportunity to connect with families from all campuses and help strengthen our amazing NSM community.

If this is your first year as an NSM family, we’d especially love to welcome you—this is a relaxed, family-friendly event.

The weather looks great, but please dress in layers just in case.

Food will be available from Hot Box BarbieQ Cart, and you’re also welcome to bring your own. Enjoy Soulful Sounds by DJ Rizo Ritmo and, as always, lawn games for all ages.

We hope to see you there!

How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Impacted Everything + What We Can Do About It

Tue, Oct 28, 2025 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM EDT

Jonathan Haidt wrote The Anxious Generation with a firm belief that the challenges confronting our children and our families are solvable. However, addressing these challenges requires understanding the traps we have fallen into, so we can see the escape routes. The main escape routes are four new norms: delay smartphones until high school, delay social media until 16, phone-free schools, and more independence and play in the real world. Haidt will share the research that underpins the book and leave parents with inspiration and concrete plans to facilitate change in their families and communities.
